OBJECTIVE 1
"NEWSPAPER"
The front page of the newspaper reports the events of the day of the crime. This gives you essential information about the case. Is there a prime suspect that catches your eye?
You get the name of Katinka Bădescu easier than you expect - a key suspect who seems to have been integrated into the Stavrache Family. Can you get more information from this prime suspect?
STAVRACHE FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY
An old family photo shows Leonid and Margareta Stavrache with their daughter Anastasia . On the back of the photo, a coded alphabet seems to suggest that there is information that should not be read by anyone. Will this alphabet prove useful during the investigation?
"STAVRACHE ORPHANAGE CATALOGUE "
A catalog sheet reveals a different assessment of children compared to the classic norms. Each subject includes four rubrics corresponding to the four weeks of May. What is the grading system and what are the consequences of low performance?
Depending on their performance, children are evaluated with good grades (where the rubrics are colored green), or poor grades (where the rubrics are colored red). Thus, according to the rules mentioned at the bottom of the table, there is a mysterious room, Room 33 , used as punishment for the lack of expected performance. Something already seems to be rotten in the middle, but this is just the beginning. Where will your investigation lead?
POSTCARD
The postcard with Russian motifs reveals a message to an unknown recipient. But who is the sender?
BAKING PAPER

PHOTOGRAPH WITH A DOLL IN A COFFIN
AUTOPSY REPORT
In the Internal Examination of the Corpse section, Abdominal Cavity section, you find a crucial piece of information - Leonid Stavrache's stomach was empty. Thus, you can rule out poisoning. In what direction will you lead the investigation?
THE SKIN PATCH
MICROSCOPE BLADE
PAPANASI RECIPE
The back of the prescription hastily written message "Call me!" But you can't find any phone number to call. Or maybe things aren't as simple as you thought?

For more context, you can also check out the newspaper article announcing the summer fair. Does it provide any new information relevant to the case?
PAPER PLANE
Have you tried to take the plane apart? On its paper there appears to be a game called Zarlex , and on the back there is an incomplete message. What can you learn about this game?
A section in the newspaper seems to explain how to play this coding game, but it doesn't seem like you have everything you need to solve it. Will you be able to carefully store the clue so you can use it as soon as the opportunity arises?
PORTRAIT OF THE STAVRACHE ORPHANAGE MEMBERS
The family portrait on the inside of the box lid captures all the children of the orphanage, along with Leonid and Margareta Stavrache and the cook Katinka . Do you have a keen eye for detail? Nothing can be more useful than a photo in which you capture all the suspects.
PENCIL PORTRAIT
The pencil portrait captures five children immortalized by an artist named Andronache on June 1, 1917. Have you come across this name before?
In the announcement of the arrival of the Summer Fair, you find the name of the artist Andronache. Thus, correlating the date and the name of the artist, you establish that the five children were at the fair on June 1, 1917. But who are these five children?
By correlating the physical features of the children in the drawing with those in the family portrait on the inside of the box lid, you identify the sketch as Ana, Dora, Lina, Nicu and Iosif . However, as the entrance ticket states, they were also accompanied by a relative. Who was this?
OBJECTIVE 2
BRUSH
The paintbrush, still stained with paint, was stolen by Katinka Bădescu's daughter from Room 33. Will this help you in your investigation? Get all the information you need to identify this pigment.
PENCIL DRAWING
Leonora managed to capture the rough details of Room 33 , including the green walls, apparently painted with the same paint found on the brush, wooden puppets leaning against the walls, and an occult symbol identical to the one on the envelope in Leonid Stavrache's office. So many shocking details, and yet you are still far from knowing the truth. How can you use this information?
On the back of the drawing is a riddle whose solution guarantees the child's exemption from punishment. The answer to this riddle is the very name of the toxic substance to which the children are exposed in the punishment room. How can you identify it?
Coincidentally, in the newspaper you find a periodic table that a child should have memorized in order to save himself from these cruel punishments. It seems that the author of these punishment methods had unrealistic expectations regarding the intellectual capacities of each child. What was the purpose?
Based on the riddle and the periodic table, you discover the substance referred to - arsenic. The element with the number 33 seems to be present in the room with the same number. But where did the author get the inspiration to design such a room?
"NEWSPAPER"
On the last page of the newspaper article, a historical story is told that served as a source of inspiration for the design of the punishment chamber. However, the story is incomplete and it seems that three characteristics of the pigment used in the chamber need to be completed. However, luck is on your side - by chance, among the evidence, you find a brush still soaked in pigment. How will you use it?
The first piece of information needed is the state of aggregation of the pigment. Since it is in the form of paint, what is its consistency?
Fill in the column with liquid and continue with the next column. According to the article, pigment changes color when heated. So, hold the brush near a heat source or tightly in your hand to observe how the color changes. What color does the pigment become?
The pigment turns yellow when heated. This way, you can also fill in the second column. For the third column, you need the name of the chemical element contained in this pigment. The back of Leonora's sketch reveals precisely the position of this element in the periodic table. It just so happens that this issue of the newspaper contains a fragment of it. Can you identify the element?

The toxic chemical element contained in the pigment is arsenic. Thus, with the three columns correctly filled in, you obtain a letter associated with each circle pattern. Fill in the last column with the corresponding letters to find out the name of the toxic pigment that killed Napoleon.
The name of the pigment obtained is Scheele . Use this name as the password to open the next envelope.

OBJECTIVE 3
RAVEN FEATHER
The black raven feather belongs to the child who lives in this room. How can this be helpful?
JOURNAL PAGE
The child's diary, still unknown, recounts strange events that happened at the orphanage. Among them, he confesses that he was sent to Room 33 due to his lack of obedience to the orphanage's strict rules. Among these lines, do you notice a bizarre detail?
Some words in the diary are highlighted. What do these reveal?
Read in order, the highlighted words reveal the message The secret is my name But how can you find out its name?
As you have seen, family portraits are essential in identifying suspects during an investigation. And in this case, it is no exception. How can you identify the author of the diary entries?
In the family portrait, you notice that a little girl named Inga is holding a black feather, similar to the one found in the room, a sign of her connection to the ravens. With her name known, how can you reveal her secret?
In addition to the notes, Inga's diary page also features an enigmatic column full of circled letters. With her name used as the key to its secret, what can you glean from this column?
Each letter of Ingai's name reveals a hidden number. Can you discover the four-digit code she's keeping secret?
By reading just the letter I in the name Inga, you will notice how the shape of the number six is outlined in the enigmatic column. Thus, you have obtained the first digit of the four-digit code. What are the next three?
The full code is 6253. Use this code as the password to open the next envelope.

OBJECTIVE 4
HEXAGONAL DECODER
The hex decoder is mentioned in the invitation to the annual meeting of the secret society you suspect Leonid was a member of. Where could you use it?
On the back of the invitation to the annual meeting you find letters seemingly placed at random, but upon closer inspection you also notice three common signs to the decoder - a triangle, a square, and a circle. How can you use the decoder to reveal the name of the new secret society?
The invitation indicates the order of using the decoder as follows - triangle, square, circle. Starting with the first symbol, align the triangle on the decoder with the triangle on the back of the invitation to reveal symbols and letters inside the circles of the decor. If the decoder does not line up correctly, turn it over to the opposite side.
With everything lined up, it's time to decipher the symbols. But how can you figure out their order?
The symbols in the decoder are reminiscent of those on the envelope in Leonid's office and on the floor of Room 33. But how can you use the symbols to decipher the company name?
Each symbol evolves from an initial structure, to which elements are added, until it reaches its final form. This is the order in which the symbols are transformed into letters. What is the first word?
The first word revealed is Ordo . Using the same decoding method for the rest of the symbols, can you figure out the name of the new secret society?
The full name of the secret society is Ordo Sine Macula . Use this name as the password to open the next envelope.
OBJECTIVE 4
FAIRYTALE CHARACTER CARDBOARD
A card representing a fairy tale character, which appears to be part of a puzzle.
OBJECTIVE 5
PROJECT OUTLINE CLARA FLORA
The sketch of the secret project of the Ordo Sine Macula society is titled Clara Flora . On the back of this sketch, you will find a letter written by a son to his father. Who are they?
ANASTASIA'S DIARY
Anastasia's diary provides important details to the investigation regarding the relationship between her parents, but also the confession of her closeness to one of the children at the orphanage. Who is this?
FAIRYTALE CHARACTERS CARDS
The three cards depicting characters from the fairy tale "Harap-Alb" are similar to the one already found in Inga's box. According to Anastasia's diary, they were used by her and the boy she approached to convey secret messages.
To decode the first secret message, the one written by the boy, the pieces must be placed according to the illustration on the second page of the diary.
Following the blue line, reveal the name ILEANA , the nickname attributed to Anastasia. The latter's beauty reminds the boy of Ileana Cosânzeana.
By repositioning the cards according to the diagram on the third page of the diary and following the path of the red line, you reveal the word SCAR – mentioned as one of Anastasia's secrets. What does this refer to?
TOXICOLOGY COMPENDIUM
The page torn from a toxicology pathology compendium illustrates the lesions caused by arsenic exposure. But what interest would Anastasia have in knowing such information?
On the back of the sheet, you will find a table showing the effects of various chemicals on lung tissue. Can you find a connection between the microscope slide obtained earlier and this information?
As indicated in the compendium, slides numbered 04 belong to lung tissue preparations, just like the slide in your possession. Thus, you have learned the origin of the tissue on the slide. How can you use the information in the compendium to determine the cause of Leonid Stavrache's death?
The table in the compendium lists numerous substances with effects on lung tissue. However, only three substances fit the preparation. What are they?
The slide label states Hematoxylin-Eosin stain, which is specific for only three substances in the table. How can you eliminate two of these?
In the absence of a microscope, the slide analysis is done visually, identifying the characteristics described in the table. Thus, of the three substances, only one presents punctate hemorrhages in edema, as in the case of the slide. What substance produces this appearance?
The substance that meets all the characteristics (mainly the Hematoxylin-Eosin staining and the punctate hemorrhages in the edema) is CH3Cl . What is the common name of the substance?
The newspaper article reporting on the effects of chlorinated methane compounds reveals the common name for chloroform , which in large doses poses a lethal risk. Use this name as a password to open the next envelope.
OBJECTIVE 6
SPIRITISM SESSION SHEET
The séance record belongs to Margareta Stavrache, the deceased's wife. Where did this séance take place?
The name of the witch Duca from Balta-Alba can be found both in the newspaper article announcing the arrival of the Summer Fair in Cișmigiu Park, and on the entrance ticket to the event. So, what information can you deduce?
Margareta Stavrache was the mother of the five children portrayed by the artist Andronache at the Summer Fair. The time of the witch Duca's prediction is eleven at night, which confirms the absence of the woman and the five children at the scene and time of the crime.
GYNECOLOGICAL OBSERVATION SHEET
Margareta Stavrache's gynecological examination reveals important aspects in the context of the investigation - her entry into menopause, a history of abnormal twin pregnancy, and previous exposure to teratogenic substances. Did Margareta have a moment of weakness in which to reveal her concerns?
On the back of the card, Margareta leaves a message expressing her fear of what was going to happen to her. What element described in the card could have put her in danger?
Beneath Margareta's message is a drawing that looks similar to the envelope found in her husband's office, suggesting the existence of a secret compartment inside. Do you have the courage to uncover Leonid Stavrache's secrets?
Inside the envelope you find evidence that reveals the woman's tragic past, as well as evidence of Leonid's enrollment in the secret order. One of the rules of this order reveals a way to access Room 33. What is it?
Rule number eight specifies how to access Room 33. Using the secret alphabet on the back of the family photo, the title of the volume can be deciphered which triggers the opening of the secret door in the library.
The title of the volume that opens the secret door is Codex Puritas. Use this name as the password to open the next envelope.

OBJECTIVE 7
COLORED PENCIL BOX
The pencil box seems to be a good sample to discover the decoding method behind the Zarlex game. Do you notice anything else notable on the box?
The box of colored pencils has an initial written on the back. Who does it belong to, and why would they hide a manufacturing directory inside? Would it reveal incriminating information?
MANUFACTURER'S DIRECTORY
The small product guide explains how to identify items made by Atelierele Codreanu based on the color of the side strings of the patches. Have you noticed the Atelierele Codreanu logo anywhere else?
The Codreanu Workshops logo can also be found on the leather patch found at the crime scene. How can you connect this information?
DIE
The colored-sided dice seem to be the last element needed for the Zarlex game. Thus, along with the game board that was folded into the paper airplane and the colored pencils, you can discover what secret message the author has hidden.
According to the instructions in the newspaper, the first step is to color the squares using pencils, following the coding key.
After coloring, you will get a picture like the one shown. Place the dice at the starting point and decipher the message path.
What message do you get?
The coded message is glow in the dark , a continuation of the secret message on the back of the game. How can you use the information?
When charged with light and viewed in the dark, the leather patch strings change colors from white to red and green. Which product does this color combination belong to?
Using the manufacturing guide, you find that the two strings are used to mark a medical prosthesis. The end of the investigation is in your hands, detectives!
